Hello, beautiful people! My husband and I are so happy to create our baby registry again! We had so much fun creating our registry with our first born four years ago. This time with baby #2, we are going to do things a little different. Today, I want to show you how to create the perfect baby registry. To me, having the perfect baby registry means putting the necessities on there. When we created our baby registry the first time, we went a little overboard. Granted, we were blessed to get 85% of everything listed and more. However, some of the things that we had on there we actually didn’t need. We were so excited to have a baby girl that we wanted her to have everything cute in store.
We created our baby registry with Target® with our first born. Our experience using Target’s® baby registry was amazing so we had to use it again. The process is very easy and self-explanatory. First, you have to create a Target® account. Then you will need to fill out all of the information pertaining to your due date and mommy and daddy’s information. Once you’re done filling out everything, a Target® associate will give you a scanner and you are ready to go!
Some cool perks about Target’s® baby registry are:
1) There’s an app that iPhone and Android users can download.
2) You can pick up a welcome kit that contains $50 worth of coupons in it.
3) You will receive a 15% off discount 8 weeks before the baby is due to purchase anything left on the registry.
4) Their return and exchange policies are easy and convenient for all.
Another great thing about Target’s® baby registry is that you can register items online as well! If you don’t see something in the store, more than likely you will find it online. If you’re ready to start now, you can do so right HERE.
Now, let’s get to the good stuff, shall we? I’m sure that you want to get and scan everything cute in sight. There is nothing wrong with that at all but make sure that you have the necessities first and foremost. I believe that having exactly what is needed makes things less stressful and you are certain to get what is needed. Preparing for baby’s arrival is already stressful enough so you don’t need the extra stress while creating your baby registry. Here are a few things I believe are needed for your registry:
Baby Gift Sets:
Shop for these awesome products by hovering over the picture and clicking on the product of your choice, or both! 🙂
Baby gift sets are awesome! There are tons of sets to choose from such as bath and body sets, bottle sets, diaper sets and more. I am a fan of bath and body sets for newborn babies. The Johnson’s® Bath Discovery Set was a must the first time around so it was only right to add it again this time around. This set comes with baby bath wash, baby shampoo, baby lotion, diaper cream, ear swabs for babies, and baby bubble bath. It also comes with a cute little caddy. One of the good things I love about Johnson’s® bath products is that they are gentle to the baby’s eyes and as well as to their skin. This set is just perfect and will last weeks after baby’s arrival.
Even though it may not be included in gift sets, having some type of medication is also a necessity. You will never know when your little one will come down with a cold. It’s better to have medication nearby for instant relief just to be on the safe side.
Diapers and Wipes:
We received a lot of diapers for our first born. I think we had more diapers than we had gifts (I Kid lol) but we had diapers and wipes that lasted us for 9 months! I am so grateful for that because you will go through diapers very quickly. In some cases, babies skip wearing newborn diapers and go straight to wearing size 1’s or 2’s. When scanning diapers on your registry, make sure to scan various sizes. You do not want to receive a lot of small diapers and not have any as they continue to grow.
Feeding Supplies:
Whether your choice is to breastfeed or to use formula, you should add the necessary items needed on your list. Figure out what kind of pump and accessories you would like or what type of formula you would like to use and add it on there. Of course, you’re going to need bottles, bibs, spoons and etc. as they continue to grow so make sure to add those things as well!
Home and On The Go Necessities:
Now, these items are very important in my opinion. I’m not sure if you know this but hospitals will not allow you to leave the hospital without a car seat. Also, the car seat has to undergo a test and inspection by a local professional. We love car seats that are safe in the vehicle and also connect to the stroller. We found one, put it on our baby registry and received it as a gift (for our firstborn). Also, you will need a crib (or bassinet) for the baby to sleep in. You want to make sure that your little one sleeps comfortably in their own bed and not in the bed with you.
CUTE BABY CLOTHES:
When you’re done finding the necessities for your baby, then you can go crazy over the cute baby clothes and shoes that you’ll find!! Feel free to scan everything if you please because there are so many cute things at Target®!
Alright, I think that we have the necessary items in our registry for Baby Wise #2! Now we are ready to share it with our family and friends so that they can see what they would like to buy! I highly recommend taking advantage of Target’s® Baby Registry and all of the perks that come with it. We are happy this time around again with our registry. We recommend this registry to any soon to be moms out there! What are some items that you need for your baby registry?
P.S. if dad is lucky, maybe he’ll get the big screen tv he wants from the registry hahaha! Just kidding. 🙂
