Hey, y’all heyyy! I haven’t talked about fashion on here in a while so I thought I was share how I found some mom jeans for my postpartum body last week! I’m so excited about this because y’all don’t understand how hard it is to find pants or jeans that fit comfortably around your waist and booty, even your belly in some instances. For me, my struggle was finding high waisted mom jeans that would fit comfortably around my belly area. If you don’t know, I struggled with Diastasis Recti (splitting of the abdominal wall in your stomach from pregnancy) and it has been a journey. Although my stomach will never look the same no matter how many planks or ab exercises I do, it is apart of motherhood and I’m learning to be okay with that!
Luckily, I have been able to find pants that I was able to wear while pregnant (that were non-maternity) and are still wearing them to this day. Jean leggings are my absolute favorites. They are so comfy yet look like jeans. I was able to find them on sale every time so I think it was meant to be lol. I will link a few HERE and HERE for anyone who is interested and looking for cute and comfy jean leggings! Anyhoo, back to the mom jeans.
So I love mom jeans. I love the style and the way they look and feel on women. But the one time I tried a pair on, my darn belly wouldn’t let me be great. Unfortunately, I stopped looking into them and didn’t bother getting them because of that. Now with so many sales going on, I have been on the hunt for pants and jeans for the fall. I went into H&M last week and they had a bomb sale on jeans. I’m talking about $9-$20 jeans. And guess what y’all? They had high waisted mom jeans on sale! Won’t He do it?!
When I brought them home and tried it on, I was in heaven! Not only were they on sale, but they fit nicely and were super comfy. I guess my planks and ab workouts have been paying off because this was a win-win in my book. I say all of this to say that our bodies are totally different post-baby. What used to fit before may not do the same afterward and that’s okay. You carried and birthed a blessing and that is the ultimate blessing in the midst of this struggle. Don’t lose hope or lose confidence in yourself. Do what works for you and try your best to adjust confidently with the changes you are or have experienced. As moms, we go through a lot as is. Just know that where there is a will, there is a way! My body may not be the same or what I want it to be. But I’m glad that I didn’t lose hope and am able to find clothes that fit and make me look and feel confident post-baby.
Finding these mom jeans is a win in my book and now I’m tempted to go back buy some more LOL! But I thought I would share in case you’re on the hunt for mom jeans. They are my absolute favorites and I know you will love them too. Do you like mom jeans? What is your favorite type of jeans and the brand of your favorite jeans?!
