Hey, y’all! I know I am just getting around to this blog post but it’s better late than never! I wanted to share our experience staying at the Hyatt Regency Austin for our 8-year anniversary! It’s still crazy to think that I’ve been married to my loving husband for this long! It seems like it was just yesterday when we said I do, now 8 years later, here we are still! Anyone who puts up with me for a long time is the real MVP so I truly commend him for that haha! But I’m so grateful for our journey and look forward to many more and to see what God has in store for us! Usually, for our anniversary, we would travel somewhere! For our 1-year, we went to Cancun, Mexico, then Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada for our 2nd, and so on. We love getting away just to celebrate just us two, especially without the kids because adult time is very important! Due to the ongoing pandemic, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go out of the country for this anniversary so we decided just to go on a road trip to Austin, Texas.
Before moving to Texas, I always said that I wanted to live in Texas! We may not be exactly where I thought we would live just yet *praying that comes to pass soon* but at least we’re in Texas lol. Anyhoo, it was always a dream of mine to see Austin and The Big Guy made it all possible for us. I told him to take care of everything and baby he did just that and beyond! We had such a great time in Austin for the short time we were there. We only got to see a little bit of Austin while we were there. I guess I underestimated how big Austin was but my goodness it is beautiful there! I vlogged our trip there so you can watch it HERE or head over to my YouTube channel. But the part I loved the most was our hotel!! As I mentioned, I told The Big Guy to take care of everything including our accommodations and he found the perfect hotel for us! He booked our stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin! First of all, let me tell you this hotel is BEAUTIFUL! We’ve stayed at tons of hotels but this one right here, my goodness! Take a look at the pictures to see for yourself!
Not only is the hotel absolutely beautiful but y’all the VIEW from our room…speechless! My husband made sure to get this specific room for us because he knows how much of a city girl (no JT or Yung Miami lol) I am! He knows I LOVE city views, tall buildings, and beautiful downtown scenery. And since we don’t have that where we live right now, he made sure that I got that view again, even if it was for a couple of days! When I tell y’all, we barely moved from our window in our hotel room, we barely moved. We sat down and just reminisced and talked about our future..with that beautiful view around us. *sigh* When the nighttime came, the view was just breathtaking. I could’ve slept there all night if I wanted lol.
Besides the view and location of the Hyatt Regency Austin, they have tons of amenities around the hotel such as a gym with up-to-date equipment (they have peletons and more in there), a restaurant (not all you can eat BUT the breakfast we had was delicious!), outdoor pool, doggy area, computer/work area and so much more! If you decide not to go anywhere or don’t want to leave the hotel, there are plenty of things for you to do around the hotel! Also, there’s a trail that you can walk or ride your bike on that goes around the downtown area. My husband and I brought our bikes from home so we took them for a ride and it was so much fun!
I love the decor around the Hyatt Regency Austin! It definitely gave me Austin vibes since Austin is known for music, culture, and delicious food! After being in Austin for a couple of days, we both said that we HAVE to go back but this time we will bring our kids and stay a bit longer to see more of the area! Austin definitely stole my heart in such a short amount of time so we will be back AND we will more than likely stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin once again! I mean with that view, why wouldn’t anyone stay there?
If you’re visiting Austin, Texas, I strongly suggest staying at Hyatt Regency Austin! And if you can, try to book one of the corner rooms with a view. It will make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable because that view is just out of this world. And if you’re from Austin and need a quick staycation or break away from everything, get your life and stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin! My pictures and videos don’t do much justice. You have GOT to book it and see for yourself!
Have you been to Austin? Have you stayed at the Hyatt Regency?! Also, if you’re from the area, please feel free to share any places to eat, check out, and all of that good stuff so we can check them out the next time we go!! 🙂
