Hey there, beautiful people! Anyone else ready for the summer? I know I am so I thought I’d share a few tips on how to protect your babies skin during the hot weather. If you don’t know, we live in South Texas now and it has been pretty warm here lately. It’s so warm that we’re able to go swimming already…in the winter season Y’all! That is so insane to experience in February but this is real life. If it is this warm now, I KNOW it’s going to be even hotter in the summer!
We have been told on multiple occasions that it gets up to 115 degrees where we are. To be honest, I’m nervous
I’m so excited to partner with Blue Lizard to inform you all about how effective and newly revamped their products are. Blue Lizard is an Australian-born sunscreen that uses natural, mineral-based ingredients that provides effective coverage from harsh conditions. I love that their products are natural and safe for all skin types, especially babies. One thing I love about Blue Lizard Sunscreen is that the bottle and cap there is a Smart Technology that turns blue when it is exposed to harmful UV conditions. That is a great indicator to inform us that it is time to apply more sunscreen to our kiddos (or go inside for me lol).
With our First Born, we’ve used products that didn’t provide enough coverage for her and left her skin burnt and peeling. Not only that but
- Use sunscreen no matter what! According to research, they recommend that we are to use sunscreen daily. Anytime we walk outside and expose ourselves to the sun, we are putting ourselves at risk for skin cancer. That is one reason why I love using moisturizers and foundation that contain SPF in it. With Blue Lizard Sunscreen, you don’t have to wait until you’re at the beach or swimming pool to apply it. It is lightweight and goes on smoothly so you can add it to your makeup routine! But for the sake of protecting your babies skin, definitely, use sunscreen no matter what!
- Have your kiddos wear protective swimwear and clothing items! To provide extra protection on my kiddos, I like for them to wear a hat and/or a long-sleeved swimsuit. I know you’re thinking it’s too hot for that but the material is lightweight and actually keeps them cool. Anything to provide protection for them I’m all for it!
- Sit in shaded areas if possible. Have plenty of water on hand. Take breaks out of the sun as often as possible. If you follow these tips, your kids will thank you
for keeping their little skins protected from harm’s way!
I hope that this was helpful and will help you and your kiddos survive the summer heat this year and beyond. Next time you are at the store shopping for your beach trip or a trip to the pool, make sure to grab a bottle of Blue Lizard Sunscreen! It will come in handy and your skin will thank you as well! How do you keep yours and your little ones’ skin protected in the skin?
