Hello, beautiful people! Today, I want to give you all a mini travel guide about San Antonio, Texas. I mentioned that I was going to share our adventures so far exploring the city so here it is. San Antonio is the closest biggest city near our town so it is nothing but a drive for us. The major conveniences that we need such as the airport, amusement parks, city life and etc. are located conveniently in San Antonio for us.
I can say that the city is absolultey beautiful from what we have seen so far. It is the third largest city in Texas and it is beautiful. I love that even though there are millions of people that reside there, the Spanish vibe is still there. Coming from Maryland, the culture is certainly different from upnorth but we enjoy it and it something that we are adjusting to.
Our first adventure when we started exploring San Antonio was SeaWorld! I’ve always wanted to go to SeaWorld but never got the chance to go to the one in Florida. Now that we live close by one, we purchased Season Passes and will be attending frequently. When it gets warmer, we are going to go to the waterpark as well! If you are looking for something fun to do, SeaWorld is a great place to go and Six Flags! We haven’t been to Six Flags yet, but that is on the to-do list.
Two weekends ago, we checked out The Alamo and The River Walk. The Alamo is a very monumental area that holds a lotĀ of history. If you aren’t aware of The Battle of the Alamo, then you should research it before coming to check it out. If you go on the weekend, prepare to stand in a long line to go into the museum but it goes pretty fast.
The River Walk has to be my absolute favorite place so far! Before seeing it, we were told how beautiful and amazing it was. They weren’t lying at all because it is so beautiful and different. Like I was expecting it to be something totally different than what was described to me. I guess I’m so used to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland that I thought that is what it was going to be like. I was so wrong lol.
There are so many restaurants to choose from on both sides. We ate at the Iron Cactus Restaurant and it was so delicious. After dinner, we rode on the Go Rio boat to learn more about The River Walk. There are so many good things I can say about this place. I actually vlogged our experience so you can check it out HERE. Let’s just say this will be one of my favorite spots to do a lot of photoshoots at haha!
Like I said, this is a mini guide of what we’ve done and seen so far in San Antonio, TX. I will definitely do another one as we venture out and explore more of the city. Also, I would love to do a mini guide of our town as well in the near future. It is very unique and full of such culture. Let us get more accustomed to our new life in Texas and I’ll post more about it. Have you been to San Antonio before? If not, do you have any plans to check it out?!
