Hello, beautiful people! In today’s post, I am going to show you all an inside photo tour of a Disney Cruise Ship! As you all know, my family and I went on a Disney Cruise (Disney Wonder to be exact) a couple of weeks ago and it was such an amazing time. Unfortunately, we were unable to stop at the Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands due to the high winds so we had to stay at sea. I utilized that extra day at sea to see more of the ship! The Disney Wonder ship is one of the smaller ships but has so many attractions and activities!
When you first enter on the ship, you are in the center of the boat (the front is forward, the center is mid and the back is aft.) The first thing you will see is the beautiful Ariel statue and Triton’s Restaurant. I will do a separate blog post on the restaurants and how the food tasted so stay tuned!
If you are going on a Disney Cruise in the near future, make sure to download the Disney Cruise app on your phone. You are able to keep tabs on what is going on on the ship, when the characters were going to appear and you can text your loved ones that are on the ship with you. If you don’t have a cell phone, you are able to see who and what time the characters are going to appear so that you are there on time!
This area is a chill area for adults. But in the middle, you will find different activities throughout the day for children and adults. I remember seeing an art class going on, mini karaoke session and other fun activities going on.
The Connect@Sea expert was very nice. If you are like me who needs to stay connected, you will need this. But let me tell you, you have to be careful because it will go so quickly if you aren’t careful. On the first day, you will get a complimentary 50MB to use. It goes by so quick you guys. I order the medium plan and within thirty minutes, it was all gone. Y’all, I was so mad because I spent $39 on the internet for thirty minutes. I went down to the table and he told me that once I connected, my phone started to update (darn iphones) and took all of my GBs. He was nice enough to restart it for me. So, I tried it again and the same thing happened! I was so mad because I was going through data but didn’t know why!!
I went there again and he gave me a sheet of all of the things I need to turn off just to make sure nothing in the background could use data in the background. Long story short, I figured out what the problem was. My Apple Watch was connected as well which was using additional data! So I turned it off and I was able to have data for two days! The struggle was so real. So, if you have an Apple Watch, iPad or whatever is connected to your phone and you use Connect@Sea, turn them off as soon as you can!
This is Azure, the adult night club. My husband and I went once and there was a comedy show going on but we ended up leaving early because we were tired. The party usually starts at 11:15 pm so if you want to party, head down there around that time!
The Port Adventures area is there for you in case you have any questions or concerns about your excursions or Port Days.
The people at Guest Services are so nice! You are able to get a lot of things from there such as a stroller if you didn’t bring one and any questions you may have.
On board shopping area!
We also got to watch incredible Broadway Style shows! The Frozen one, the Golden Mickey’s and the one about Dreams were awesome!
There are different movies that show every day so check the listing to see what is playing that day!
If you and your loved one need some alone time with each other, then you have childcare on board to do so. My daughter absolutely loved going to the Oceaneers Club. She wanted to do that more than anything else. I did a mini tour of it in Our First Disney Cruise Vlog so you can check it out HERE!
The kids will get a bracelet which is how they get checked in with and it stays on them the whole duration they are in there. They don’t have to wear it the whole time they are on the ship, only for the clubs. I love the Oceaneers Club because the first thing the kids do when they walk in is, of course, check in. Then they have to wash their hands. They are big on hygiene and sickness on the ship. You have to wash your hands or sanitize your hands every time you enter a restaurant or various activities. Once they wash their hands, they are free to play and have a great time!
If you want to go swimming and you don’t feel like bringing towels, they have it there for you at the pools!
A lot of people would assume that Disney Cruises are for people with families only. Wrong! There were a lot of couples and singles that were there without any children. They were simply there for a good time and to get away! If you want privacy and peace away from kids, there is a separate part of the boat just for you. Adult pool, Spa and Salon, and a beautiful gym with a beautiful view of the ocean! Not to mention, the clubs and restaurants that are there for adults!
Yes, this ship is beautiful. It’s small but there is a lot to do on it! As stated, I will do a post on discussing the restaurants and how the foods tasted. I will also do a separate post about our days in Mexico, Jamaica and Puerto Rico!
